VMC Reg Shanks Trial Mar 22/09
Well, the 2nd event of the year for the VMC was another great event in many ways. Beautiful warm weather for this time of year, and a well thought out and enjoyable trial. The results showed that the first round was no fluke for Matt. His margin of victory was increased over the last event in the Intermediate class and checking the scores, Matt even knocked off a few more riders in the Sen. Intermediate class that he had never previously beaten. His ability at such a young age to attain the aggression to ride the bigger sections in this class continue to amaze. His balance has always been incredible, and now that he is growing and getting stronger, his confidence and expectations of his own riding continue grow!
All in all, another great outing all round, and another stepping stone and learning experience to being a better trials rider!!! Now all efforts will turn to set-up for the Joe Brown Memorial Trial, and practise for the first ISTC event of the year. Once that is over, it will be a total focus on training and some good practise up until the first WEC National in Summerland in May!
